Waterfront Ragtop
Took an older piece (a fairly urban-styled 1967 Camaro) and transported it to a fictional waterfront setting, created from a bunch of found and clipped images to craft a packed downtown scene. The real fun was in turning it all into a relatively believable dusk lighting situation. While I was in there, I toyed with texture, some graphically-inspired particle effects and more. The end goal was a 3D-looking 2D illustration. I build a few of these at a time, usually as a warm-up exercise over a few days (or weeks if I move onto a new idea in the meantime), chipping away in 20-minuite increments or so.Just fun pieces wherein I challenge myself to work without any filters, brushes or otherwise; just the most basic tools, stretching the fundamentals to nail a look or feel. Thanks for looking in!
